Resident Evil 3 (2020 Remake) In development

Co-op Mod

Play all of Resident Evil 3 (2020) in two-player online co-op. A second Jill fights through Raccoon City beside you, and enemies, items, doors, and story stay in sync across both PCs. It installs as a REFramework plugin.

Overview

Resident Evil 3 (2020) was built for one survivor. This adds a second. It’s full two-player co-op through the whole campaign: a second Jill joins your game and fights through Raccoon City with you, with enemies, items, doors, and story progress kept in sync across both PCs in real time.

It runs host-authoritative: you both run the game on your own PC, and the host’s game keeps everything synced between you. To get in, you sign in with your SnippyNET account, then join one of two ways: type in a room code someone shares with you, or join a friend from your friends list when they’re hosting.

It installs as a REFramework plugin and never touches your game files, so pulling it out drops you right back to vanilla. It’s still early in development. Made by HeySnippy, built on REFramework.

FAQ

Is this playable yet?

Not yet. The co-op netcode is still coming together. This page is the preview, and the first build drops when it's ready.

Does it touch my game or save files?

No. It runs as a REFramework plugin at runtime and leaves the game's own files alone. Pull the plugin and you're back to vanilla.

Who's the second player?

A second Jill. You both play as Jill, each running your own game, and the two stay in sync.

How do two players connect?

Two ways. One of you hosts, and the other either types in the room code you share, or joins you straight from their SnippyNET friends list. Either way you're signed in with your SnippyNET account, and there are no public lobbies or random matchmaking.

Will it run alongside other mods?

That's the plan. Texture and cosmetic mods are fine, and it's being built to play nice with bigger ones too, randomizers included.
